PAY IT FORWARD 2013!

Alisa Steady of Alisa Steady Art sent me this wonderful little handmade gift for participating in the PAY IT FORWARD 2013! Pay It Forward is a project supported by bloggers to encourage homemade art while introducing yourself and your blog to other bloggers! We can all learn something from eachother and have something to show from it, too. This is how I received her cute handmade art through the mail. You can read all about Alisa on her blog at this link:  http://alisasteadyart.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2013-01-17T06:32:00-08:00&max-results=10
Alisa made the cutest mixed media writing journal! Along with her adorable business card there was a Thank You note for participating in the project. Now, I'm just waiting on a comment to my Pay It Forward post so I can send someone a handmade piece of art, too!

My life and the traveling pants.

Years ago, I never wore jeans. Just dresses and skirts. I loved getting dressed up! I don't know when, well, yes I do know when it all changed. I was a little over weight for a couple of years and instead of just buying new clothes. I actually, had my current clothes altered. Note to self: just buy new clothes. So, there I am living in a new town, nothing to do, but eat barbecue, watch reality shows, and go to work for little change. I couldn't afford to buy anything, including new clothes. So, I packed up my car with all that I could and tracked it back to Houston where there was already a job and an apartment waiting on me. In the next couple of months I managed to lose all the weight because I had things to do, people to see. One day, I thought, "I need a pair of jeans, but what size do I wear"? I mean I was already wearing my old pants that were too big. I trucked it on into The Gap where this very nice male customer service rep greeted me and asked me what I was…

A little bit country.

Hart of Dixie is a new tv show I've recently discovered on the CW every Monday night at 8:00 p.m. central time. It's a small town show and reminds me a little of The Gilmore Girls, the town from Back to the Future, and Pleasantville. Inspired by this small town feel, I have put together a country outfit from various stores!
These cute earrings are Montana Silversmiths Small Stars & Horseshoe Post Earrings $34.00, which I found at Tractor Supply. Harley Davidson sells this cool short sleeved shirt at $65.00. Carhartt® Ladies' Double Front Sandstone Work Dungaree pants $44.99 and these adorable Western Chief® Ladies' Strap Classic Rain Boot at $9.99 is such a steal, both from Tractor Supply! Who knew that a gal could buy a lawn mower, and a hot outfit at Tractor Supply?

This lawn mower just looks fun Huskee® 42 in. 420cc LT 42 Lawn Tractor $999.99!
